46 years
of Catholic Education means they are committed to students acquiring the best Catholic college preparatory education possible and reaffirming and strengthening Christian values and morals. The Clerics of St. Viator founded Saint Viator High School as a school for young men in 1961 in an effort to fulfill their commitment to the Christian education of youth.
In 1987 Saint Viator High School merged with Sacred Heart of Mary in Rolling Meadows to become a co-educational institution. Today, Saint Viator High School is often described as a place that "feels like family" by those who walk through its doors. Welcoming over 1,000 students daily, Saint Viator exists as a comfortable, yet challenging community in which students are valued and educated as whole people. Classes are small enough for students to get to know everyone, yet large enough to enable a competitive curriculum. Teachers and staff are dedicated to the intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional growth of each student, providing the attention, nurturing and support a successful academic career requires.
Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the athletic field or on retreat, their students are called to be supportive, caring individuals celebrating faith, friendship and the achievements of every member of the school community.
The Saint Viator community values individuals for who they are and challenges them to be all God calls them to be. They are a school where people are more important than things and where the Spirit of God is invited to be the center of their lives.
Saint Viator High School is a Catholic, college-preparatory community called to provide religious formation and an academic program of excellence to the young men and women of the northwest suburbs of Chicago.
